Teri Fairhurst

Teri Fairhurst is an assistant art director. They began their career in the early 2000s in entry-level and support roles, including work as an art department runner on Fat Friends (2000) and as a design runner on The Forsyte Saga (2002–2003). They subsequently worked as an art department assistant on Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (2003) and contributed as an illustrator and storyboard artist on Fungus the Bogeyman (2004) and Captain Scarlet (2005). During this early period, they also worked as a graphic artist on television productions, Eleventh Hour (2006) and See No Evil: The Moors Murders (2006). Fairhurst progressed into roles with greater technical specialization, as a draughtsperson within the art department on Prometheus (2012), Kick-Ass 2 (2013), The Last Days on Mars (2013), Spectre (2015), and In the Heart of the Sea (2015), Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016), Beauty and the Beast (2017), Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), Dumbo (2019), Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020), and Jurassic World: Dominion (2022). They transitioned into more senior creative roles in the art department, serving as a set designer on Thirteen Lives (2022) before working as an assistant art director on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), Wicked (2024), Wicked: For Good (2025), and Avengers: Doomsday (2026). They were also an assistant art director on the cancelled Batgirl. Fairhurst's work has been recognised as part of collaborative teams nominated for and awarded honours by the Art Directors Guild. They shared in the award for Excellence in Production Design for a Fantasy Film for Wicked (2024). They received nominations for Spectre (2015), Beauty and the Beast (2017), Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), Dumbo (2019), Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), and Wicked: For Good (2025).
